In recent years, extreme weather events have become increasingly frequent, and flood-related property losses cannot be ignored. For high-cleanliness factories such as those in the food and pharmaceutical industries, water ingress not only disrupts production but can also result in product loss and facility damage. As a solution provider specializing in high-end disaster prevention systems, Shanghai Weiwang Technology has once again delivered a high-standard, high-efficiency flood protection project.

Project Overview
This project is located in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, and was commissioned by Griffith Foods (China) Co., Ltd. to reinforce flood protection at the main entrance of their liquid processing workshop. This area contains high-value equipment, and any flooding would cause significant losses. The client ultimately selected the FM Approvals-certified FD-02 rapid-installation compression flood door.
Project Highlights
✅ FM-certified product with reliable watertight performance
The FD-02 flood door offers excellent watertight sealing, with a sealing height of 600mm. Its robust structure and rapid deployment meet the requirements of the FM 2510 standard.
✅ Standardized full-process construction, completed in 2 days
From site preparation and rail installation to door compression and sealing, the entire process strictly followed FM specifications. Installation and testing were completed in just two days.
✅ Zero leakage in watertight test, passes FM acceptance criteria
According to FM standard 4.3.3.1, a 15-minute static watertight test was conducted at a water level of 595mm. No visible leakage was detected, and the results were well below the allowable limit, meeting the qualification criteria.

✅ On-site training ensures worry-free maintenance for the client
After project completion, our team provided installation and emergency deployment training for the plant staff. The operation took only 2.5 minutes, and all personnel passed the assessment, ensuring they can independently use and maintain the equipment in the future.

Maintenance Recommendations
To ensure the long-term effective operation of the flood protection system, we recommend that clients conduct annual structural and sealing inspections, with prompt re-inspections after extreme weather events such as typhoons and heavy rain. In addition, we offer customized annual maintenance services to help clients build a comprehensive disaster management system.
