The Metro Flood Study Work Group voted unanimously Thursday to recommend a North Dakota diversion channel be built to protect Fargo-Moorhead. But the fight is far from over. There are many more hurdles to clear before the first shovel full of dirt can be turned. Now the responsibility lies with the Corps and securing Federal funding for the project.
